Grading Parameters:

1^st and 3^rd Quarters:

• Homework and Classwork – 25%
• Quizzes – 35%
• Tests – 40%
• *Quarterly Binder Check – counts as 1 test grade

 2nd and 4th Quarters:

• Homework and Classwork – 20%
• Quizzes – 30%
• Tests – 35%
• *Quarterly Binder Check – counts as 1 test grade
• Midterm /Final Exams: 15%

 Course Assessment:

• Homework – given a minimum of 3 times per week
• Classwork – given daily
• Quizzes– 7-10 per quarter
  • Students will be quizzed on vocabulary, grammar and any other chapter content as deemed necessary
• Tests–
  • Minimum of 1 test per chapter covered
  • One binder check per quarter
  • Written and Oral Projects and Presentations as assigned
  • Midterm Exam (end of 2^nd Quarter)
  • Final Exam (end of 4^th Quarter)

 *Assessments will be aimed to measure students’ abilities in reading, writing, speaking and listening comprehension in the target language

 *Binders – ALL students are responsible to have a binder for Spanish class ONLY.  Students are expected to bring their binders to class every day and keep it neat and organized.

 *Students who miss class are responsible for any missed classwork or homework assignments.  If you miss class you have two days to hand in any missed work in order to receive FULL credit, after the third day the work will not be accepted and you will not receive any credit for the missing assignments.  If you miss an assessment (quiz or test) you are responsible to make it up within ONE WEEK from the day you missed.
