Please take a look at the FBI’s Safety Guide for parents and internet use . We all want our students to be fluent in technology and access the wide variety of information available on the web. We must also give the students the tools to keep themselves safe in an age where so much personal information is available for all to see. Please see link below for tips.

“Promoting Positive Social Experiences for Your Child in the Summer” Thursday, March 18, 2010 12 Noon – 1:30pm Lynch Conference Room, NSMC North Shore Children’s Hospital, ground floor
Speaker(s): Chirs Anderson, Ph.D ~ Licensed Psychologist, Director of Camp Triumph George Marinakis, Ph.D ~ Licensed Psychologist, Co-Director of the Triumph Center (formerly the Academy North, Inc.) Parents are often asking for ways to help their child experience social success during the summer. Many special needs childen receive the bulk of their services in school. This includes services that facilitate social skills groups, and facilitated interactions throughout the day. Dr. Anderson and Dr. Marinakis from the Triumph Center plan to speak about ways that families can continue to support their children during the summer months when peers are less readily available to them and when they are not receiving the level of service they have during the school year. The focus will be on practical ways to facilitate play opportunites at home as well as choosing activities that will lead to social success during the summer. We will specifically address how to choose a summer camp that will meet your child’s needs and build on the skills they worked on all year in school. Fee : none RSVP by Wednesday, March 17, 2010 to ithomson@partners.org or 978-354-2670
