Term 1

Repaso A – Las compras para la escuela

Vocabulary

  • Students will review vocabulary related to school, getting to school, and buying school supplies and clothing.

Grammar

  • Students will review the present tense of “ar” verbs

  • Students will learn the present tense of “ir”, “dar” and “estar”.

Communication

  • Students will comunicate in spoken and written Spanish in topics related to school activities, clothing and supplies for school.

Repaso B- Amigos y alumnos

Vocabulary

  • Students will review the vocabulary they need to describe people and things and to identify nationalities.

Grammar

  • Students will review the verb “ser” and agreement of nouns and adjectives.

Communication

  • Students will describe people in Spanish.

  • Students will talk about their courses.

  • Students will learn to narrate present events.

Repaso C- La familia

Vocabulary

  • Students review vocabulary related to family and home

Grammar

  • Students will review the present tense of -er and -ir verbs

In this chapter students will learn:

  • to talk about air travel, in-flight services, and geography
