Week of 9/26/’1 to 9/30/’11: Industrial revolution continued. Dark Tide summer reading papers to be turned in Monday and discussed, including discussion of possible questions for the author’s talk this week. H.W. is Section reviews four and five. Students will be able to list, define and describe the pros and cons of the industrial revolution inuding the perspectives of industialists vs. workers’ rights proponants.

Week of 9/19/’11 to9/23/’11: Introduction to the “Industrial Revolution”. H.W. Students will complete Ch. fourteen Section Reviews Numbers one, two, & three and complete the “Primary Sources” Excercise in Section three (copied from book – handed out in class). Students will be able to list and describe the changes in America’s “shift’ from an agricultural society to an industrial one.

Week Eleven (11) 12/13/2010 to 12/17/2010 : Review American troops helping the Allies defeat the Central Powers, the steps taken “at home” to support the war effort and conclude with making  peace in the post War world. Students will complete a Five (5) Paragraph Essay on joining/not joining the “League of Nations”. This essay will count as a test score/grade.

 

 

 Week Ten (10): World War One: Introduction to World War One; Notes taken in class, H.W. – all Section Reviews ( Chapter Twenty). student will be able to explain how . W.W.
