Grading Policy for Dr. Harutunian

2011-2012

 

General rules for Dr. Harutunian’
Classes:

 

Late to class:
you write name and class period on the board and you come after school that
night or receive double the detention with Dr. Harutunian.

 

Doing homework in
class
: I take it away and you come after school.

 

Sleeping in class:
The Sleeping Shovel”.

 

Late Homework:
Homework is due the day assigned, or if absent the next day.  I will accept late homework not for credit
but for determination of effort.

 

Excessive going to
the bathroom
without Doctor documentation after school detention.

 

Use of cell phones,
iPods, game boy, or any electronic equipment
is forbidden.  Caught using any of the above mentioned items
will result in me confiscating the item and staying after school.

History -2 (Honors)

Each Quarter Students will be graded using the
following criteria:

 

Tests (each test
will count as a test grade from 0-100).

 

Notebook each
student must retain a notebook which contains, homework, notes and
handouts.  Notebooks will be checked
during the quarter and will count as a test grade.

 

Homework (we will
have between 15-25 homework assignments) all homework counts as a test score).

 

Class participation
(all behavior, late to class, excessive going to the bathroom, tardy to class,
class input and contributions) will count as a test score.

 

Summer reading
(1st quarter summer reading test will count as a test score).

 

Special projects
(2, 3, and 4 quarters will have a special project which counts as a test
score).

Government  (Advance Placement and Honors)
