September 11th–

ATTENTION CLASS OF 2012!!!

If anyone is seeking a college recommendation, please give me at least 2 weeks to compose it.  Also, please give me either a resume or your college intake form.  I have known you all for a while–maybe I had you for English, maybe we’ve worked closely with fundraising for the Class of 2012, maybe you’ve been an avid Rampage staff member, or maybe you’ve been on my Relay for Life team.  But for the most part, however, I know you as students.

That is not all you are.  Some of you have been involved in many outside endeavors for years and years, and as your teacher, I wouldn’t necessarily know about them.  The benefit of having a resume/college intake form (guidance will be giving these to you) is that I can see you as a whole person, not solely a student.  I can see that in addition to your high academic performance, you have also been active in your community, or deeply involved in sports, or perhaps you have been holding down a job for a few years.  Whatever.  These are things we want to know!

Leave me a comment if you would like a recommendation.  You can also come see me in person.  I am happy to do it because I truly believe that Lynn Classical has the BEST students in the city!  I want you to go on to great things, and then come back and make our city shine!
