RICHARD LEDERER
For the wordies, the verbivores, the punsters, and the grammarians out there, you HAVE to know Richard Lederer. I think I’ve read all of his books–twice… And I always, always go back to them. He is AMAZINGLY funny–constantly poking fun at the English Language, and more frequently, its misuse.

60 SECOND RECAP
Okay, this is just funny. Imagine taking an entire novel, play, poem and summarizing it in 60 secs! This is fun to watch! And also, it’s pretty insightful…
SPARKNOTES:
Oh yes, we know that you read them. And honestly? They’re useful. Don’t read them instead of a text, but rather, after you have read something in order to clarify, understand, or embed it deeper into your knowledge. Sparknotes, cliffsnotes, etc…they really are useful. But just know: We are all familiar with them. If you attempt to swipe a passage as your own…WE’LL KNOW!!!!
OWL:
This is a link to Purdue University’s Online Writing Lab. It’s a great resource for all things “writing.” From basic paragraphs, to research papers, this site is highly useful. Check it out!
