To the Parents

If you’d like to make an appointment to discuss your student’s progress please let me know.

Learning is best when it involves the student, the teacher AND the parent working together as a team.

Hablo espanol mas o menos, entonces si necesitas hablar conmigo, yo te puedo ayudar en espanol.  Puedemos trabajar juntos a aydar a su muchacho o muchacha.

Thank you for having such wonderful kids!  We have our ups and downs throughout the year, but, for the most part, I believe they are growing up to be really great people.  You’ve done a great job so far and I’m proud to be teaching them math and other important skills this year.  I’ll do my best.

If you ever have any questions or comments – please contact me!  I’m very willing to work with you.  Call me at school and the office will put you through to whichever room I happen to be teaching in.  Or you can email me.  I do check my email several times a day.  I have found that when I work together with parents the student has more of a chance of succeeding. I would also be happy to arrange a meeting after or before school.  We need to support them while they’re developing independence and inner strength.

This semester I am focusing on two things:

1.  Maintaining Better Notebooks

2.  Improving Homework Completion

Since these are my professional goals, I will be working very directly on motivating the students to do these two things.  I have a feeling that if they can do these things their understanding of math will improve, their test scores will improve and then their quarterly grades will go up.
