Hi! I’m Ms. Jamieson, but you can call me ” Ms. J.”

You may be surprised to learn that I am a fairly new teacher.  I became a teacher just 5 years ago.  Before that, I was a reporter and editor for newspapers and radio stations for more than 25 years.  My last job in journalism was at the Salem News, where I worked as a reporter for five years.  I covered City Hall and politics in general in the city of Peabody.  Before that, I worked for WBZ Radio in Boston, WINS Radio in New York City, The Riverdale Press in the Bronx, the Danvers Herald, the Brookline Tab, and the Beverly Citizen. ( I was the first editor of the Beverly Citizen.)
I love my new career as a teacher!  My students come from around the world, and they are a joy to teach.  You can find their current readings,  homework assignments and special projects on the special pages for each class.
My education includes a B.A. in Communications from Simmons College, and a Masters of Teaching/English from Salem State University.  I grew up in Beverly, just north of Lynn, and graduated from Beverly High School, Class of 1967.Here is where you will find all the information you need for my classes.
