Syllabus/Read 180 Description (from the Read 180 website)- A Simple, Clear Organization for the Classroom!
Teachers begin and end each session with Whole-Group Instruction that engages the entire class. In between, students break into groups and rotate through three stations for Small-Group and independent learning. Following the READ 180 Instructional Model is proven to result in significant gains in reading achievement for students after one or two years participation.

Course Description: This comprehensive course provides an opportunity for students to acquire real world skills that provide them with practical tools, experiences and knowledge that will positively affect their future adult lives related in terms of employment, post secondary education, community service as well as social and self-regulating skills. Emphasis will also be placed on consumer spending and budgeting, housing choices, basic food preparation and guidance in establishing wholesome relationships. Leadership development will also be implemented and developed.
