Whereas Psychology is the study of human or animal behavior tested through scientific research, Sociology is the science that studies social behavior in human groups.
For this class, we will be studying separate chapters, and about every three chapters you will be taking a section test. The next chapters for the course are as follows:
After each chapter, there will be a quiz, and after chapter 5, there will be a section test. Ultimately, as this is not a correspondence course, you need to be in class as often as possible (to get the chapters and the chapter assignment); pay attention to what is said in class; know when the assessments are going to be as well as the last day to take these assessments (they are called deadlines for a reason) if you miss them for any reason. This information will be on the board until I pass the assessments back. Also, as a sociological check, I wonder if you’re reading this. The first and only first student who reads this information and tells me he or she read this will get one dollar (THIS OFFER IS NO LONGER VALID. A STUDENT CLAIMED THE DOLLAR). Again, pay attention in class; pass work in on time (chapter assignments are due the day of the quiz); and know when the assessments will be.
My night back is Tuesday in A304 unless you make arrangements with me otherwise.
