Week of April 30-May4

Monday:  Read the story “Araby” p. 986 in your books.

Tuesday: Answer the study questions for the story “Araby” and pass them in for a grade.

Wednesday: Read the story “The Rocking-horse Winner” p. 997  in your books.

Thursday: Answer the study questions for the story “The Rocking Horse Winner” and pass them in for a grade.

Friday: Test on both stories.

 

Week of April 23 – 27

Monday:  Read the story “The Destructors” p. 948 in your books.

Tuesday: Answer the study questions for the story “The Destructors” and pass them in for a grade.

Wednesday: Read the story “In the Shadow of War” in your books.

Thursday: Answer the study questions for the story “In the Shadow of War” and pass them in for a grade.

Friday: Test on both stories.

 

 

3rd Quarter Detailed

Week 4

M: No Class.

T: Go over vocabulary, Week 4. Reading Check quiz on Ch. 7 & 8.Discussion of Ch. 7 & 8 HW: Begin ch. 9 of Lord of the Flies.

W: Finish Ch. 9 of Lord of the Flies. Discussion of Chapter 9.  Begin working on study guides for chapters 7-9. HW: Study guides

R: Discussion of Chapters 7-9, go over study guides, prepare for test tomorrow. HW: Test on Ch. 7-9 and week 4 vocabulary tomorrow.

F: Test on Chapters 7-9 and week 4 vocabulary. HW: Read chapter 10 over the weekend.

 

Week 2

M: Vocabulary, Week 2. Finish reading Lord of the Flies, Chapter 1. Discussion of reading so far. RC Quiz on Ch. 1  HW: Finish chapter two of Lord of the Flies.

T: RC quiz on Chapter two of Lord of the Flies. Discussion of Chapter 2.  Begin reading chapter 3.  HW: Finish reading chapter 3.

W: Quiz on Chapter 3 of Lord of the Flies. Discussion of Chapter 3.  Begin working on study guides for chapters 1-3.
